THE TOUR Championship presented by Coca-Cola is open only to the top 30 money winners on the PGA TOUR. East Lake Golf Club is the permanent home of THE TOUR Championship presented by Coca-Cola. The Club also hosted THE TOUR Championship in 1998, 2000, 2002, 2004, 2005 and 2006.

Beginning in 2007, THE TOUR Championship presented by Coca-Cola will be part of the FedExCup season. Every player in the field who makes the cut will earn valuable points in the season-long competition that will ultimately determine a playerís seeding going into the Playoffs. The 2007 tournament will be played September 10–16.
